Welcome to St. Peter’s Primary School. We are a friendly, ambitious and inclusive school where children always come first. St. Peter's - Growing hearts and minds.
“We wanted to say how much we are enjoying visiting St Peter's each week. The children and teachers are a delight and the atmosphere within the school is peaceful and friendly.”
“In my career I have visited well over 200 Primary schools and spending time in schools with such high standards was not a common experience”. Mark Smee

Year 6 Story Time

We really enjoy listening to our Year 6 friends read to us!

Gymnastics

Spring 1- During our weekly gymnastics sessions, the children enjoyed practising and demonstrating their running, climbing, jumping and balancing skills on a variety of apparatus.

Music

Spring 2- We practised playing simple musical rhythms on a range of untuned instruments.

Our Caterpillar/ Butterflies

Spring 2- we have learnt all about mini beasts. To inspire our learning, our story launches this half term were 'Superworm' by Julia Donaldson and 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' by Eric Carle. First we created a super worm wormery. We fed our worms our apple cores, carrot tops, banana peels and lots of soil and enjoyed observing earth worm doing their fantastic job. Then we hatched 5 tiny caterpillars and carefully observed their fascinating life cycle- from growing up to 10x in size, forming a chrysalides and then emerging as beautiful butterflies which we then released into our school garden.

Year R Nativity Performance

Year R- Throwing and Catching

Our Writing

This term we have been busy mark-making, learning to write recognisable letters and numbers and our name.

Our First Week

The children have settled in well and have enjoyed exploring their new classroom.
