Why Families Choose St Peter's
Values and Vision
St. Peter’s is a fabulous school, well placed to serve the local community in a residential part of Bromyard and surrounded by some beautiful countryside. At St. Peter’s, we want our school to be a place where children can play, learn and work hard; where they are cared for and inspired. Pupils, staff, parents/carers and community partners work together to:
• Create a happy, safe and inclusive school
• Provide relevant, rich experiences to allow everyone to achieve and learn to the best of their ability.
We aim for all children to:
• Be independent in their learning, form their own views and opinions and be excited about the challenges learning can bring
• Have the courage to keep trying and the determination to succeed
• Value their place within and contribute to our school, community and the wider world through the teaching of rights and responsibilities
• Know that they are all important and equal through the teaching of respect for all
About St. Peter's
Children at St. Peter’s can begin their journey in our wonderful, on site nursery, then work their way through our caring, single form entry school; small enough to be known by everyone but big enough to have great facilities and a wealth of excellent, experienced staff. Our reception class takes a maximum of 30 pupils but classes are often smaller and with plenty of adult support.
We are proud to be part of the Three Counties Academy Trust and benefit from working closely with the other primary schools in the trust.

Facilities
We take great pride in playing an active role in the vibrant community of Bromyard, such as inviting in members of our town such as the vicar and the Police, participating in town events like the Christmas tree and scarecrow festivals, to attending sporting events with other schools.
We benefit from large school grounds with a view of the Bromyard Downs and the Malvern Hills. We have a large playground and playing field; lots of adventure play equipment; a Forest School site including pond; outdoor classroom and greenhouse. Our EYFS and nursery children have their own playgrounds, field and secret garden too so there is always somewhere to explore.
We also have an onsite breakfast club and after school care.
If you are interested in our wonderful nursery, please contact the school via email or phone us on 01885 483237 and speak to Mrs Unwin. We will arrange for you to come and look around.

Herefordshire Council Admission Arrangements 2025/2026
The admissions process opens in September of the year before your child is due to start school and closes in January. Children in England are entitled to start school in the September following their 4th birthday and must start their education by the beginning of the term after their 5th birthday.
An 'In Year Transfer' application is the process which a parent or legal guardian must complete to secure a school place other than at the normal point of admission into reception. In-year transfers are most common for families who move house to a new area or can no longer easily access their current school.
If you are interested in moving your child to St Peter's, you will need to inform your current school and complete an In-Year Transfer form. This has to be signed by both parties and handed in to your chosen school.
Contact the school for in-year transfer requests.
